Interested in playing women’s rugby? No prior rugby experience is necessary to become a member of our club. In fact, you don’t have to know anything about the sport! We welcome all women who thrive in a team environment and have an appetite for playing hard and having fun.

Our players range in age from 18-40 and come to rugby from various other sports. Most new club members have never played rugby before although some come to us from other women’s clubs and others played on their college teams.

We have two seasons per year, one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Practices are on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30 pm (map), and games are on Saturdays. Home games are played in Forest Park (map) and away game locations vary from season to season (Chicago, Milwaukee, Nashville, Kansas City, Indianapolis etc). Most away games will not require an overnight stay but tournaments generally do.

The cost of playing rugby is minimal. Cleats, a mouthpiece, and rugby shorts are the only equipment that is the responsibility of individual players. There is an annual fee for membership in USA Rugby (approximately $55) as well as annual dues to the Missouri Union and the club itself. Club dues cover the cost of hosting other teams, practice equipment, medical kit supplies, coaching payment, tournament entry fees, etc.
