Founded in 1975, the Sabres are St. Louis’ oldest, most-successful women’s rugby club. The club adopted its current name, “The St. Louis Sabres” in 2003 after being known simply as “The St. Louis Women’s Rugby Club” for many years.

The Sabres are members of Missouri Rugby Union within the Western Territory competing at the DI level. We have several players who have represented our Territory as members of the Western Select Side (both 15’s and 7’s) as well as a former member of the Under-23 National Side.

We are led by USA-certified coach and head coach of the West Women’s Select Side, Tommy Wong.
